Ooooo! A personal rejection! In the early days you could live on that for months.

Great find, Barb.

Margaret Wise Brown (I'm seeing her everywhere these days) persuaded Stein to write, and then edited, Stein's first children's book.

Carry on.

We're a dying breed, ladies. The newer crop of writers won't even know what a personal rejection letter is now that so many publishers don't bother to acknowledge receipt of manuscripts.

Very cool, Barb.
